A life away...

I will never see the world with the same eyes,
when walking under the sun
And finding myself next to a soul frozen by love and pain,
A heart covered by scar tissue, and a mind entangled with the past.

What needs to be done to change the mind of the sceptical,
to heal the heart of the untrustworthy, and renew the hope of the hopeless?

How could I find love when love has gone away?
My heart still wants to keep on
the extenuating trek of being loved by The One
But numbers run low and risks run high
of getting lost with the swing of the tide.

Ride with me, you, my sweetest fear
Now that life has darken up,
I might hold your hand one more time
Seeking comfort before at last
Chip my teeth in a final bite.

It’s always the same ending
With the ones who spent their lives
Trying to fix their broken hearts,
A feeling of giving in comes for grabs
And takes them away
A life away.
